Seven years ago, I wrote this:
Happy spring to you in the South. It is another season of growing and expansion.
Happy fall to us in the North. It is the season of harvest.
Harvest… It would be so healing for me to reap all that I have sown. I have the rest of my life to do that, and I look forward to it. It is great to come full circle. We are encouraged to be nonjudgemental and to feel less harsh on ourselves, and others, when we screw up. Almost no one is encouraged to express the exhilaration that kicks in after doing what is right day after day. But why curb such positive feelings? I will be more available to these good states this season.
