The meal ticket in politics is “change”; in new age, it is “transformation” or “consciousness”.
But the people who use hypnotic and gauzy words like that do not change or transform themselves, anyone or anything, they don’t shift their consciousness. Those who do do it subtly, persistently, and after their successes use specific language for what they have done and what they know needs to be done.
“Change”, “transformation”, even “consciousness” are words that can mean everything and that different people translate to different things, that in the end, they are quite meaningless.
And maybe that is the point — that those words are chosen to not do the work, to not have to do the work.
