Most people don’t have to live with the consequences of their advice and if put to a test, they wouldn’t want to. Be very discerning about whose ideas you follow.
Wisdom is not in words. It is even hard to put into words; often enough it sounds stupid, awkward, uncool or “repressed”. However, it responds to the situation at hand in the least harmful way and takes the toxins out of it.
Wisdom is not knowledge, but it is based on long observation too. Wisdom benefits the web of life, so it can be distasteful to the ego and to groupthink that is egoic.
Wisdom is rarely saccharine, and it is not a band aid. It is at ease with grief. Grief held for a long time can turn into wisdom. That is why the wise are few.
