Welcome to Earth Send. Enjoy this day’s bath in the universal life energy and your opportunity to refresh yourself. Portable creativity tools brought to session are being treated with reiki, too.
I’ll be in session in the afternoon and look forward to you.
Unfortunately, my essay disappeared on the world wide web, but you know our routines:
Warm-up practices
1. Inner Smile: move it through your body.
2. Then, beam it to your corner of the earth.
3. Land Acknowledgement and gratitude to everyone who has kept the land thriving and abundant and who has protected the drinking water, known and unknown.
Our microbiome, in other words, our health is closely connected to the land, especially if you eat food grown within a short distance.
If you consume foods and beverages from far away, thank those lands too and bless their way to you.
Now recall the people whose services you use inside a radius of 8 miles and thanks to whom your life functions: farmers, vegetable and fruit pickers, bakers, eatery workers, shop keepers, artisans, factory workers, delivery drivers, public transport drivers, car mechanics, health care providers, support workers, pet care providers, educators, plumbers, electricians, handymen, technicians, cleaners, garbage collectors, librarians, advisors and trusted friends… Think of everyone who is in your daily life, directly or indirectly, and who is contributing to your well-being, due to their profession or individual caring. Sometimes we aren’t so conscious that an entire community is involved in our continuation and plain existence — so Fridays are a good moment to send your warm thanks and appreciation out to these people.
If you want to greet any local animals in your proximity that charm you and deliver messages and food for thought to you, this is a good time to do so. This week, several lady bugs landed on me. A client waved one away from the back of my jacket, so I told him that lady bugs are good luck symbols in almost all cultures, and he stopped himself: “Oh. I didn’t know! Wow. Interesting!”
4. Bird’s Eye View
5. Root into the Earth
Here and Now
6. Come into the moment.. Write down impressions that you want to keep. Set an intention for this session.
7. Renew your commitment to the 5 reiki rules.
Gently steer yourself back to the precepts, especially if you feel that you’re falling short of them. It is common that we experience worry, anger, ingratitude, negligence and other moods. By reciting the 5 rules, bring yourself into the present moment, to this day, and “just for today“, go forward with a corrected attitude. Self-discipline is possible, and we can gain control of our inner state the more we normalize it. Calm and respect will go a long way, as you approach people, all living beings, even yourself.
8. Self-Quiz:
Grade yourself (sincerely and for your eyes only) in the areas of
⊹ health, physical and mental:
sleep, exercice, body strength, water intake, medical visits;
outlook, prospects, serenity, follow-through, acting on your own behalf, sane decisionmaking
⊹ satisfaction with your work, service, income
⊹ satisfaction with your residence, property and area code
⊹ satisfaction with your creative projects, explorations, and solutions
⊹ red-tape upkeep
⊹ satisfaction with your relationships with family, your partner and everyone close to you
⊹ satisfaction with relationships to peers, your wider network and community
9. Write down again what stood out and the prompts, ideas or eventual answers you received. Don’t worry if there is no direction in your perception yet, or you’re unable to decipher some of what showed up; simply write down what you want to recall.
10. Your earth-friendly commitment of the season, month, or week.
This is a practical “challenge” to take better care of you and your household by
⊹ reducing toxins,
⊹ modifying your use of time and resources
and to appreciate nature and nature’s healing properties even more.
It can range from slowing down, a no car day, a no spend day, to trying out plant-based recipes (meals, botanical medicine, skin and hair care, cleaning agents) to sowing your cold-stratifying seeds for spring, decorating with natural objects for the season, introducing no- or low harm routines, participating in workshops about composting, rain water harvesting, permaculture and related activism, to a weekend of hiking in the land, or spending time near a water body.
How can you work and play and honour the earth?
Quiet time/Reiki Send
11. Meditation with reiki.
Reiki practitioners send reiki into the circle and to all creativity tools brought to session. Nonpractitioners sit with the circle, broadcasting good will, positive regard, gratitude, peace.
12. When you feel done, write down if you had any more insights or interesting, bright ideas. You can revisit them later.
Announcement
November is the month of the Leonids and other smaller meteriotes, like the Taurids. The Leonids are peaking in the night between the 17th and 18th of November, but you can already spot them on clear nights. The moon is waning now, so shooting stars and stars are highly visible.
Venus is still in Libra, its home base, though retrograde. I’ll say, people power and the evidently growing civic involvement in public life as we witnessed in the recent elections in Brazil and the midterms in the USA are ways how Venus in Libra showed itself memorably. Libra is about inclusion, fairness, a humane way forward, holistic, collective intelligence. Venus stands for preferences, the emphasis on love, comforts and beautification, and also the feminine, everything that provides advantages and we feel is a blessing. I try to not repeat myself, but “We Don’t Need that Fascist Groove Thang” anymore! “Brothers, sisters, we don’t need that fascist groooooove.” (Sung by Heaven 17 four and a decades ago, and it’s still relevant after all this time.)
May your day be a scrumptious delight.
In gassho. I humbly receive.
