For All Fridays

Aloha, Welcome
Each Friday, we hone in on the well-being of all life and let the universal life energy flow. We send reiki to group and private healing requests and to our participants’ goals. We hold good thoughts for those ready to receive them. We thank the earth, Creator, and everything awesome worth acknowledging.
Welcome, meditators and reiki practitioners. If you are new, we are glad you are here; please tag along in the way you can. If you are a seasoned co-creator, it is good to be with you again.
Why Friday?
We started Earth Send on a Friday, and it stuck. Everyone was eager to meet weekly and bring reiki into their lives. It became a stable practice through life’s ups and downs. That times would become more chaotic was not on my radar, as we kept growing in skill, soundness and strength, and yet, here we are!
We are approaching 20 years — June 25, 2025. I meant for this to last, but I am still surprised. Each of you has shaped the Earth Send. Thank you so much. Thank you for making my power day every week’s highlight.
Today’s Focus
Reiki to Receptive Beings & Manifestations | Heart-Link with Each Other
Before Meditation: Set an Intention
Notice your environment. Tune into yourself: Where are you in your life right now? What do you hope to get out of this meditation?
Here is a handy intention, until you have your own words for it: “By joining this Circle, I draw to me what is for my highest good.”
Nature’s Clues
What is happening in nature right now?
What does this tell you about what activities and projects may be auspicious? How are you sailing with the wind, how are you making use of the energies and developments that are already in motion?
Examples
(These cover the year; so do adapt them to your perceptions and this moment):
- Spring: Begin. Grow new habits. Grow and repropagate plants. Expand your circle of reach.
- Summer: Play. Recreate near water. Savour the abundance of light (illumination!), of nurturance and of beauty. Shine.
- Autumn: Harvest. Preserve. Ferment. Distill. Select what to keep, what to compost, and what to get rid of. Enrol in a course. After summer break, the academic year begins in almost all countries, and in many fields, professional education moves into focus, too. Cultures, not nature, have set this rhythm, but the inspiration of summer opens the mind to bright ideas and preps for methodical studying, and our collective conditioning imparts learning in fall.
- Winter: Rest. Envision. Streamline. Introspect, reflect. Plan the next growing season. Plan events and the focal points of the year. Clean up life indoors. Get tasks out of the way that you won’t have time for in the warm months.
Pick 1–3 earth-kind actions that you can realistically commit to.
Examples:
- Prepare plant-based meals 4x per week for 3 months
- Low Buy / No Buy Year
- No car day / Wednesday walk or biking
- Saturday morning declutter or yard work
- 1 DIY nontoxic body care or home cleaning product per month to replace a chemical one
- Set up a plastic elimination program in your household: refuse new plastic, phase out what you have, find durable alternatives
Choose a goal that excites you. Set a time for it: when, for how long, until when. Make it doable and simple to stick with.
Design Your Practice Space
Choose a retreat spot for inner work and meditation. Add:
- A mat or rug
- Gemstones and a plant
→ jade is a compatible companion crystal for reiki, similar in energy and supportive
- A water vessel
- Calming sounds, percussion or mantras
- A meaningful sculpture, poster, or slogan.
You can meditate outside, too, when weather permits. Let nature be the setting of restoration, realignment and All Our Relations / interbeing, as only nature can.
Land and Watershed Awareness
Establish rapport with the land you live on and the watershed you draw your water from. Who were the people who looked after it? Thank everyone involved in protecting the water and soil you are on. Are you a member of that lineage, too, perhaps, or a member in the making?
Reiki Precepts: Just For Today
- I will not worry.
- I will not anger.
- I will work honestly.
- I will honour my teachers and elders.
- I will be grateful to all my blessings.
The Reiki Precepts were given to practitioners as guidelines for every day, of course. On Fridays, we don’t just recite the words, we course-correct, reorder, and notice progress in these key areas. We wonder how we can return to them quicker when we fall short of them. We keep integrating them into our conduct, consciousness and daily renewal.
Inner Smile / Body Scan
Swallow your smile through your throat and let it circle through your organs and extremities. Notice tension. Release it.
For a step-by-step instruction that meets you where you are at: look up Taoist Inner Smile. Learn the procedure, until you have it down pat. The Inner Smile is a warm body scan for everyone with lifetime benefits: it keeps you connected to your body, its sensations and the information it is giving you. It makes you smile from the inside out.
Bird’s Eye View
Imagine going upward, through the ceiling, through the roof of your home, until you can see your neighbourhood from above and yourself as a tiny dot in it. From this elevated vantage point,
What do you want to say to the “you” below?
What encouragement, perspective, and comfort can you offer?
Write it down after the meditation.
Practise the Bird’s Eye View enough times, and you will come to appreciate how wise, to the point, and straightening it is.
Solar Water
Place water in sunlight using a clear glass container. Drink for energy.
Never solarize water in plastic.
The Island of Self
Collect sensual impressions of what you want your Island of Self to feature throughout the year, especially when it is not winter: the sound of waves, warm air, birdsongs, the humming of pollinators and singing insects, scents and essential oils, flowers…. The Island of Self was an inner retreat zone the Buddha taught his students. We use it for the same purpose: to have a place to visit in meditation and for inspiration and refreshment.
Self-Check-In: Grade Yourself (1–10)
- Water intake
- Sleep
- Self-worth
- Mental calm
- Body strength, vitality, flexibility
- Health care routine
- Work and income satisfaction
- Social life
- Close Friendships
- Home life
- Creative expression
No need to fix anything yet. Just notice.
Choose Joyful Solutions
Reframe your “I can’t” or “That won’t be fun” to “How can I?” and “How could this be fun?”
Example: My body was telling me to pick a workout asap. I knew I needed to move more, but I wasn’t thrilled — until I recalled that I love dancing. Now I hula hoop. It works the muscles that need strengthening, it fits into my schedule and it relaxes me!
Find a playful way to respond to signals that you need to change and to meet your needs.
A hula hoop (solution) for every piece of self-care would be too much fun. Apply the principle: help your motivation to get it done. Habits turn into routine; and routine is where you want to be at. Aim for routine. If it takes untold repetitions and experimentation to arrive, so be it.
Check Your Resistance
Avoid punishing yourself to “prove a point.” If you’re behind on taxes, ask:
Am I sabotaging myself to protest something that I can not convincingly move?
If you’re behind on debt repayments, or sensible self-care, ask:
Am I stressing myself out and risking my future to keep myself safe from someone I am afraid of, who is barely aware of me, an abuser of the past? Who is being harmed by my stalling?
Bring your focus to what will move your life forward. Don’t use disorganization or defiance to avoid the next step.
“Self-Control is Just Empathy with Your Future Self.” Ed Young
What is in our power to change is more than we admit. First, cut through the (endemic) preoccupation with unhelpful input and personalities; then, return the focus to what you want and engage curiosity “How can I?” How, under these conditions, in my situation, with my qualms, my resources and what I know, can I make this happen? How will I carry down all obstacles to my manifestation?
Unfinished paperwork, messy money matters, self-neglect of any kind are obstacles to manifestation: they are felt as oppressive and are thieves of clarity, serenity, genuine priorities and lifetime.
Resonance Statement
- What good things have happened this month?
- Where have I grown?
- What small delights do I want more of?
Later, you can display your bundles of delight at a spot you pass by often.
In the meantime, record. It is good to see what you resonate with black on white.
Earth Resonance Practice
“Don’t do nothing because you can’t do everything.” — Colleen Patrick-Goudreau
All over the globe, amazing things are happening that the news hardly cover. Your perception is going to increase both of sites in peril and of sites of regeneration and thriving. Only one of these can teach you. Let that be clear. I invite you to adopt the attitude “Become Teachable, and Mist Everything Else”.
Become teachable to genius, vision and living with reverence for nature’s ways.
Don’t feed the mind with doom and helplessness. Such mental formations come from passively absorbing inflammatory, sensationalist news. Become conscious of where your focus goes. Feed the mind with useful information, books, knowledge and know-how, not junk. Do media fasts often, like so many highly intelligent and creative people do and recommend.
Creativity Tools
Reiki goes out to your creativity tools:
- Gratitude container: jar, journal, box
- Mudita gallery: a hangout for your team of advisors, confidants, role models and instructors with whose good fortune you easily vibe and wherein you can find templates of what may be in store for you, too.
- Vision map or board, or Letter To the Future
Bring lightweight and updatable versions to this session — photos, a sketchbook, printed fabric. Set yourself up for success: allow for a process; your creativity tools will eventually reflect your true needs and desires. In most cases, fuzzy and quirky preferences do stand for something that you will find a precise description for.
The combination of the three creativity tools is powerful and will draw blessings to you: it will turn your mind to noticing your end goal and grasp it as your target. As you move, your mind will deliver evidence that you are approaching it (and, should you steer into awkward or opposite directions, it will inform you that there are no signs of you being on the right path). Give these tools a try.
Stay in the Morphic Field Of Well-being
Stay in the field of santosha for as long as it feels good.
Look Around You
Notice:
- The sky, moon, and stars (regular invitations feature current spectacles, in later paragraphs)
- The land and your growing reciprocity with it
- Becoming rooted in your locality
- Meetups, low cost gatherings, free events, peer support groups that address what you want to improve and who root for you
- Initiatives you want to contribute to
- Compassionate, responsive people with similar values to befriend for life
Explore the history and geology of your region. Learn what unique opportunities it offers.
Special Gratitude
goes to:
- Nurses and health care providers
- Growers all over the world and everyone involved in our sustenance
You keep us alive and healthy. You serve and feed mankind. We see you. We respect you.
In Closing
This message is your go-to for any Friday when there’s no new one. Life is busy. This helps me join the session without extra writing.
Take this into the new week:
Keep walking in beauty.
Thank you for all you do.
In gassho. I humbly receive.
