For me, one of the major reasons to move beyond just the planting of trees was that I have a tendency to look at the causes of a problem. We often preoccupy ourselves with the symptoms, whereas if we went to the root cause of the problems, we would be able to overcome the problems once and for all.

Wangari Maathai

1940 – 2011

Due to covid-19, many celebrations that honour new tree and forest champions in Africa and worldwide have been postponed or are only accessible in the virtual format. This moment offers an opportunity to go within and come up with a plan about what you can do for your local trees and greening. Your solution can be life-changing. It is of high value to the ecology around you.
