Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Lee were born on this day, only 2 years apart. The fit, smooth-moving, telegenic one (1940 – 1973 / Bruce) belongs to an old world; while the wild, bold, colourful one (1942 – 1970 / Jimi) belongs to the new, and alive, paradigm. Goes to show you that discipline and appearances aren’t everything — the influence that you exert may not be your technique or your question mark, but your honesty and your exclamation mark.
I like both. Hendrix is simply more present in the now.

Bruce Lee lived in Seattle part of his life; Jimi was born there. They may have crossed paths over a coffee once… Bruce Lee had a very strong and interesting philosophy he shared through writing. You say Jimi Hendrix (one of my favorite musicians) is the one more in the present, but I’m not sure. I have a number of Lee’s books which live on much like the music.
